{"id":15208,"date":"2025-03-27T13:58:39","date_gmt":"2025-03-27T17:58:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/jewishstudies\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=15208"},"modified":"2025-03-31T14:18:17","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T18:18:17","slug":"mark-ludwig","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/jewishstudies\/profile\/mark-ludwig\/","title":{"rendered":"Mark Ludwig"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mark Ludwig is a violist and Boston Symphony Orchestra member emeritus who blends his musical career with social causes, combining scholarship, teaching, and performance projects with community service throughout the United States and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Ludwig is the Executive Director of the Terezin Music Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to documenting, preserving, and advancing awareness of the music created by victims of the Holocaust.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a;\">Known internationally as<span>\u00a0<\/span>a leading scholar, teacher, and champion of Holocaust music,<\/span><span> Ludwig performs this repertoire and teaches its history worldwide, lecturing at Harvard University, The University of Virginia, The Charles University in Prague, and many other schools.
