The SEO offers detailed listings of available positions through their Job Board.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<br \/>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Student Employment Office Quickie Jobs<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>The Student Employment Office also posts Quickie Jobs. Keep in mind that your on-campus student work permission only covers Quickie Jobs that are paid by Boston University. Some postings on the Quickie Jobs are for short-term off-campus jobs for which you do not qualify.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<br \/>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Research Assistants and Teaching Fellowships<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>If you were offered a Research Assistantship (RA) or Teaching Fellowship (TF) as part of your scholarship package, then this counts as an on-campus job, and is considered a 20-hour job. If you have an RA or TF position, you cannot accept any additional on-campus job during regular semesters.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<br \/>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Resident Assistants, Orientation Leaders, and Student Leadership<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>Students who finish their freshman year will have the opportunity to apply for selective student leadership positions as Orientation Leaders, Community Service Coordinators, and Resident Assistants in the dormitories. There are two main types of positions and ways to be hired that qualify as on-campus employment at BU. The first is work that is paid directly by Student Employment Office (SEO). The second are positions that are paid by a third party but are jobs that are meant for BU students and serving the BU community. If you are unsure if the job you would like to apply for qualifies as on campus employment, please check with SEO and ISSO before moving forward to avoid complications with your immigration record. The educational affiliation must be associated with the University\u2019s established curriculum or be related to contractually funded research projects at the post-graduate level. This type of employment might be considered on-campus work, even if it is not paid by Boston University.
