Her deep commitment to Palliative Care began with her work with HIV\/AIDS patients in Zimbabwe and Lesotho. She began her professional career in Social Work as a Pediatric Palliative Care (PACT) Fellow at Children\u2019s Hospital, then working on the Dana Farber-Brigham and Women\u2019s Palliative Care Service. She recently ran a clinical trial with Akshay Desai, MD, MPH entitled, \u201cA Focused Palliative Care Intervention for Recently Hospitalized High-Risk Patients with Heart Failure.\u201d Arden currently teaches at the Smith College School for Social Work.
