He was a boss, a mentor, and a friend to us as well as to thousands of Bostonians throughout the years. He cared about his city, his adopted university community, and everyone around him. Working with him daily, we know he kept doing what he loved &#8211; helping people. Mayors, corporate executives, students, community leaders, politicians, and former staff all continued to seek his advice and support. He was always happy to lend a hand, offer suggestions, and share a laugh. We will miss his quick wit and his counsel. Our lives have been forever altered by knowing him.
