MetroBridge Student Prize

The MetroBridge Program is offering a prize of $500 to an individual or group of students each academic semester upon completion of their research project. Each MetroBridge faculty partner can nominate one individual or group from their class to be considered for the prize. A team of reviewers from the Initiative on Cities will choose the winner(s) based on criteria including:

  1. Quality of research and interpretation
  2. Thoroughness and clarity of final deliverables
  3. Impact on community
  4. Contribution to and understanding of project by all team members

Submission Materials

  1. Faculty Nomination of students via email to Paige Dolci, MetroBridge Program Manager, at pdolci@bu.edu
  2. Student Application including the following materials (via form below)
    1. Name of course
    2. Name of Faculty/Professor
    3. Student contact info
    4. A brief summary of roles and responsibilities within the group
    5. Final deliverables, including research report, summary memo, and showcase video (if applicable).

Key Dates

Fall submissions (including nomination and student submissions) are due by December 18, 2021. The Initiative on Cities will announce prize recipients by January 7, 2022.

Spring submissions (including nomination and student submissions) are due by May 13, 2022. The Initiative on Cities will announce prize recipients by May 27, 2022.

Student Application Form

  • For groups, please designate a single student to serve as a primary contact person for the group.
  • If applicable, please list additional students first and last names and their emails (no phone numbers needed).
  • Please provide a brief summary of each student's roles and responsibilities within the group
  • Please include your group's research report, summary memo, and showcase video (if applicable)
