>Denise Falchetti joins Innovate@BU as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Strategy & Innovation Department of Boston University. She received a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Bologna. Prior to joining BU, she was a visiting scholar at NYU Stern School of Business.
Dr. Falchetti’s research focuses on entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity. Her doctoral dissertation investigates the emergence and legitimation of novel ideas, and adopts different theoretical perspectives including sociology and psychology to explore the mechanisms that shape audiences’ evaluations. Her recent book chapter in the creative industries theorizes a framework of novelty recognition that combines innovators’ acts of framing and audiences’ structural characteristics.
Her research had been presented at major conferences such as Academy Of Management, Strategic Management Society and European Group for Organizational Studies.
