Nominate Innovate@BU Student of the Year by April 8!
On Friday, April 26, 2019, Innovate@BU will name its second-annual Innovate@BU Student of the Year Award! Nominations are now open for the 2019 award and can be made by peers, faculty, staff, or self-nominations.
Innovation comes in many forms; leadership roles, creativity, social impact, education, entrepreneurship, promotion and advocacy, and more. This award was created to honor a Boston University student (undergrad or graduate) that works diligently and enthusiastically to further innovative activities, collaborations, and principals throughout the University.
The first Innovate@BU Student of the Year Award was given to Michael Barros (Questrom’18, MBA) in 2018. During his time as an MBA student at the Questrom School of Business, Barros served as the president of the Graduate Entrepreneurship Club and worked on his own venture, recoverHub, a web-based platform designed to give patients seeking treatment an individualized treatment plan as well as immediate access to appropriate treatment facilities. Currently, Michael is a Product Manager at SmartVid.io, a photo and video management platform that leverages machine learning to solve industrial-grade problems.
