Exciting Opportunity for Artists: Showcase Your Talent at IDEA Con 2024!
We are thrilled to announce that Innovate@BU is gearing up for the much-anticipated IDEA Con 2024, the leading student innovation conference in the Northeast! Scheduled for October 26, 2024, at the George Sherman Union, this year’s event promises to be the largest iteration of the conference yet! With 10 higher education partners and an attendee pool of 20+ universities each year, you never know who you’ll meet.
To elevate the experience further, we are inviting artists to apply as artists-in-residence who will contribute their creative talents to make the event even more vibrant, interactive, and unforgettable.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking proposals from diverse artists—including musicians, performance artists, and installation creators—who can bring their creativity and energy to a variety of spaces within the GSU, including Metcalf Hall, Ziskind Lounge, Stone Lobby, and the entryway and patio.
Selected artists will be allocated a designated space and time during the event to captivate the audience with their performances or installations. The event will consist of inspirational entrepreneurial speakers in the morning, including artist entrepreneurs, followed by panels, networking, workshops, and the artistic presentations.
Why Get Involved?
This initiative is not only about showcasing your art; it’s also about:
- Recognition: We want to spotlight and celebrate the incredible talents of student artists.
- Inspiration: Your work will inspire and engage an audience of student innovators, fostering a deeper appreciation for the connection between creativity and entrepreneurship.
- Networking: Engage with a community of like-minded individuals and create lasting connections with fellow artists and attendees.
