Make an Impact This Summer
Generously funded by the Enlight Foundation, the Enlight Fellowship program provides a $10,000 stipend for students to intern at a local social impact organization while simultaneously working to develop their own social venture. It’s the perfect blend of practical experience and entrepreneurial innovation—all designed to equip you with the skills needed to tackle today’s pressing challenges.
You’ll gain leadership, technical, and innovation training, all while contributing to causes that make a difference. Whether you’re passionate about sustainability, education, healthcare, or another field, the Enlight Fellowship is your chance to put your ideas into action.
Key Details:
- Program Length: 10 weeks (June–August)
- Application Deadline: February 1, 2025
- Stipend: $10,000
- Eligibility: Open to all BU students, including international students
Note: While the program includes a generous stipend, housing is not provided.
How It Works
Step 1
Submit Your Application
Fill out your application by February 1, 2025. If you plan to find your own internship placement, you’ll need an offer letter ready at this stage.
Step 2
Get Matched or Approved
Innovate@BU will either match you with a partner organization or approve your self-procured internship by April.
Step 3
Start Interning
From June through August, spend your time interning with your chosen social impact organization while participating in workshops to develop your own venture.
Choose Your Path
Students can participate in the program in two ways:
- Partnered Placement: Get matched with a partner organization identified by Innovate@BU.
- Self-Procured Placement: Already have a social impact organization in mind? Secure your unpaid internship with them first, then apply.
Eligibility Requirements
The Enlight Fellowship is open to all full-time, degree-seeking BU students (undergraduate and graduate) who will be enrolled during both the preceding spring and following fall semesters. International students meeting these qualifications are encouraged to apply, as no U.S. work authorization is required.
Apply by February 1, 2025!
Don’t miss the chance to turn your summer into an experience of growth, innovation, and impact.
