  • 5:30 PM Innovate@BU: Exploring the Story Behind the Idea

    Every venture starts with inspiration. Most often, this inspiration comes from lived experiences that ignite an entrepreneur’s innovative fire to address an issue and/or create an opportunity. Being able to tap into this inspiration even after the venture has launched is essential for maintaining momentum. Join Innovate@BU’s inaugural Innovator-in-Residence, Jonathan Allen, co-founder of Leadership Brainery, for a candid and dynamic conversation with local Boston entrepreneurs about their journey navigating social impact ventures as women of color. Light food will be served.

    Deep-dive conversations with Boston-area social entrepreneurs examining topics and challenges specific to nonprofits and for-profit social impact ventures, as well as an opportunity for attendees to apply concepts to their own ideas and solicit professional feedback.

    The Cannabis Startup Competition is sponsored and paid for by Green Lion Partners. Owned by Boston University alumni, Green Lion Partners is a Denver, CO based business strategy firm focused on early stage development in the regulated cannabis industry. Learn about the current state of the cannabis industry, hear from local industry leaders, and at the end of the evening, find out which team wins the $10,000 grand prize.

  • All Day Deadline: First Year Innovation Fellowship Application

    Are you bursting with new ideas that you want to turn into something real? Maybe you're curious and want to better understand a social problem? Incoming Terriers are invited to apply to Innovate@BU’s First-Year Innovation Fellowship (FYIF) program to pursue their passion for innovation and entrepreneurship. A small cohort of accepted students will be provided with seed money, coaching, and resources to transform their ideas into impact.

    Are you interested in engaging in something entrepreneurial and creating impact? Do you have an idea and have been wondering how to take it forward? Or, have you been working on an idea but have not had formal training on best practices? In this 2-day immersive bootcamp (10am-5pm on both days), you will learn the process and important techniques to help you identify meaningful innovation opportunities, start building your venture (for-profit or non-profit), and optimize the success of your venture. This is offered as a remote program.
