Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, where she teaches courses on \u2018Financing Development in Africa\u2019 and \u2018Climate Change &amp; Development.\u2019 At the GDP Center, she works on South-South cooperation, the role of development finance institutions in scaling up renewable energy in the Southern African Development Community region and addressing project development challenges. Her research interests include development finance, infrastructure project development and financing, climate change and development, financial inclusion and the empowerment of youths and women.<\/p>\n<p>She has over 20 years of cross-functional financial management and infrastructure financing experience in the private sector, private equity, consultancy, investment banking and development finance environments. In the last 15 years, her focus has been infrastructure financing with a specific focus on renewable energy financing within investment banking and development finance institutions. She has played a key role in addressing Africa\u2019s energy challenges and climate change mostly under South Africa\u2019s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme.<\/p>\n<p>She is skilled in project financing, public-private partnerships, renewable energy financing and sustainable development in sub-Saharan Africa. She has extensive experience in project and transaction structuring, developing and delivering renewable energy financing and project documentation training programs for development finance institutions in Africa. She is a member of the South African Energy Sector Gender Ministerial Advisory Council and chairs the Small Enterprise Development Sub-Committee and is also a key member of the Financing Sub-Committee.
