Many of the world&#8217;s hundreds of millions of students are exposed to poor indoor environmental quality due to disinvestment in school buildings, poor ventilation, and lack of indoor air standards. Clean indoor air results in fewer absences due to illness, better learning, and higher scores on math and reading tests. This interdisciplinary project engages BU students to conduct actionable research in the areas of data science, environmental health, exposure assessment, community engagement, and environmental and education policy. This project combines data analysis, visual storytelling, and narrative to demonstrate how transforming our energy systems can reduce inequities, prevent climate disaster, and enhance both public and environmental health. Engaging a broad spectrum of stakeholders\u2014including decision-makers, media, companies, advocates, educators, and the public\u2014it inspires action toward a sustainable future.
