Kennedye JeanPierre-Towa is an Office Assistant at the Institute for Global Sustainability and an undergraduate Economics student in the College of Arts & Sciences at Boston University. JeanPierre-Towa’s research interests encompass multiple areas, particularly in the sector of public policy and working alongside financial operations. Through her time as an Economics student, she utilizes various analytical tools to help support her growing interests. JeanPierre-Towa hopes to continue to grow her knowledge of analytical tools in order to help influence positive change for society, finding an intersection between data analysis and economic development to support communities in need and ensure equitable access to resources.
Through her work as an Economics student, JeanPierre-Towa has participated in various projects that have allowed her to carry out her interests in policy initiatives. She has worked on a MetroBridge project where she enlisted the use of data analysis to help residents of Chelsea, Massachusetts implement sustainable water usage while reducing expenses. In addition, she has worked alongside fellow Economics students to utilize regression analysis in an Econometrics research paper to understand various environmental factors contributing to disease globally, thus brainstorming solutions to support economic recovery for impoverished nations.
Continuing her time at the College of Arts & Sciences, JeanPierre-Towa plans to enact her research and analytical skills to create positive economic change. JeanPierre-Towa plans to engage in more research projects aimed at generating sustainable methods of development to support communities, especially those in destitute areas. Through her work as an Economics student, JeanPierre-Towa hopes to develop her inquisitive skills while contributing to real change globally.
