Gianluca Stringhini, project champion for the Focused Research Program on data and misinformation jointly sponsored by the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS), is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Boston University where he co-directs the Security Lab (seclaBU). Gianluca’s research develops computational methods to measure, model, and mitigate malicious online activity, including misinformation, online harassment, and online fraud. His work employs machine learning, system design, and quantitative and qualitative methods to better understand these problems and come up with robust solutions against them.
