BU Indoor Air Quality Research for Healthy Schools Featured Side-Event of UN General Assembly
Speaking at the High-Level Side-Event on Healthy Indoor Air of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Katherine Walsh of Boston Public Schools discussed the value of the district’s unique research collaboration with Dr. Patricia Fabian, an associate professor of environmental health and an associate director at the BU Institute for Global Sustainability.
“One of the greatest outcomes of this program, though, has been our incredible research partnership with the Boston University School of Public Health, led by the amazing Dr. Patricia Fabian and her team of students. With Dr. Fabian’s team, we have been able to take the 2 billion data points we collect annually and transform that into research-grade data, going beyond just the daily operational response with that data.”
