Una mirada cinematogr\u00e1fica en la era de la hegemon\u00eda estadounidense<\/a><\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(Bonilla y Artiga Editores, 2018) and<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunypress.edu\/p-6820-the-mexican-revolution-on-the-w.aspx\">The Mexican Revolution on the World Stage: Intellectuals and Film in the Twentieth Century<\/a><\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(State University of New York Press, 2019).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>She has also co-edited four volumes:\u00a0 with Leticia Brauchli, Hacia el pa\u00eds del mezcal, a medley of American travel accounts about Mexico; with Ignacio S\u00e1nchez Prado,<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hispanic.pitt.edu\/iili\/reyes.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alfonso Reyes y los estudios latinoamericanos<\/a><\/strong>, a collection of critical essays that examine this distinguished Mexican humanist\u2019s thought within the context of contemporary theory, with Jimena Obreg\u00f3n Iturra,<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pur-editions.fr\/detail.php?idOuv=3016\">Cin\u00e9ma et turbulences politiques en Am\u00e9rique Latine<\/a><\/strong>, a collection of critical essays on cinema and politics in Latin America, published by Prenses Universitares de Rennes in France, and with Jaime Marroqu\u00edn and Magdalena Mieri,<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.randomhouse.com\/book\/228360\/open-borders-to-a-revolution-\">Open Borders to a Revolution<\/a><\/strong>, a book centering on the impact of the Mexican Revolution in U.S.-Mexico relations (in<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/scholarlypress.si.edu\/\"><strong>Smithsonian Institution Scholarly Press<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Professor Pineda was awarded a grant by the US-Mexico Fund for Culture and the Rockefeller Foundation, and was a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) in Mexico (1999-2001). \u00a0She has held the Chair of the Americas at the University of Rennes in France, and has been a visiting professor at Brown University and M.I.T. \u00a0Among the courses she teaches are those on nineteenth-century Spanish American literature; Latin American<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Modernismo<\/em>; Mexico City in Film and Literature; and the cultural manifestations of the Mexican Revolution.
