Two BU professors received <\/span><span>National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship awards for the 2024-2025 cycle. Congratulations to Joseph Rezek, Associate Professor of English and Director of AMNESP, and to Yuri Corrigan, Associate Professor of Russian &amp; Comparative Literature, on their awards! Rezek received an award of $60,000 for his project <\/span><i><span>The Racialization of Print, <\/span><\/i><span>a book on the history of the transmission of racial knowledge and racial ideology through reading from the sixteenth to nineteenth centuries. Corrigan also received an award of $60,000<\/span><span> for his project, <\/span><i><span>Chekhov\u2019s Ethics: From Anesthetics to Antidotes<\/span><\/i><span>, which will explore<\/span> <span>Russian playwright Anton Chekhov\u2019s (1860\u20131904) ethical thought.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Endowment for the Humanities recently announced $33.8 million in grants for 260 humanities projects across the country.
