\"\"BU Humanists at Work: Heba Alnajada, Assistant Professor of Global Modern and Contemporary Architecture<\/a><\/strong>
\nHeba Alnajada did not originally plan on entering academia. Through non-profit work, she became involved in academia, teaching programs at the German Jordanian University that focused on community-engaged design and lecture courses that engaged with history and politics.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"BU Humanists at Work: Anita Savo, Assistant
\nProfessor of Spanish<\/a><\/strong>
\nAnita Savo became interested in the medieval period early on when she took a Spanish language survey course offered by her high school. Although the class covered many time periods and authors, she found herself fascinated with medieval Iberian literature because of what she describes as her \u201cdouble distance\u201d to the texts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"BU Humanists at Work: Marc Gasser-Wingate, Associate Professor of Philosophy<\/a>
\n<\/strong>You don\u2019t need extensive knowledge of philosophy to recognize the name Aristotle, as he remains a ubiquitous figure in current and past societies. Even so, scholars continue to study his work in an effort to deepen their understanding. Marc Gasser-Wingate is one of these scholars.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"BU Humanists at Work: Margaret Litvin, Associate Professor of Arabic & Comparative Literature<\/a><\/strong>
\nMargaret Litvin didn\u2019t expect to end up as a professor. She spent her undergraduate years focused on breaking into a different field: journalism. \u201cI realized that we Americans had no idea what was going on in the Middle East,\u201d said Litvin.
