These awards are in recognition of outstanding academic work. They are not given to student organizations to support projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">When is the application deadline?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>The annual Student Awards application deadline is <strong>March 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Who can apply?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p><span>Eligible departments may nominate two-three\u00a0<\/span><strong>sophomores and\/or juniors<\/strong><span>\u00a0annually for general awards in the humanities. W<\/span><span>hile we encourage no more than three nominees, we leave open the possibility for a fourth nominee if truly merited.\u00a0<\/span><span>Students who have won a\u00a0<\/span><strong>general BUCH Undergraduate Student Award<\/strong><span>\u00a0in a prior year are\u00a0<\/span><strong>not eligible<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span>to be nominated for another. Students who have won an\u00a0<\/span><strong>Oddy Award<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span>or\u00a0<\/span><strong>Melville Latin Prize<\/strong><span>\u00a0in prior years\u00a0<\/span><strong>are eligible<\/strong><span>\u00a0to be nominated for a general BUCH Undergraduate Student Award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">How do I use your online applications?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p><span>All BUCH applications must be submitted via <\/span>InfoReady Review<span>. You may save your draft application at anytime. You will need to use your BUID login name and Kerberos password to log in. You will receive the application link in your official nomination notification email.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">How should my referees submit their letters of recommendation?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>Confidential letters must be submitted directly to the InfoReady Review\u00a0portal by the recommender. <span>Please follow the instructions in the\u00a0<\/span><strong>Reference Letter<\/strong><span>\u00a0section of the application to request letters of recommendation <\/span>well in advance of the application deadline.<\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Are the Student Awards taxable income?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>Student Awards are taxable income. Recipients are responsible for reporting the amount of their Award to the IRS.
