Appointment of Emily Rothman as the next Assistant Provost for General Education

We are delighted to welcome Professor Emily Rothman as the new assistant provost for general education, effective July 1, 2026. Dr. Rothman has recently served as the associate dean for strategic initiatives at Sargent College, as well as professor and Chair of the Occupational Therapy Department at Sargent College. Previously, from 2004-2021, she was a professor at the BU School of Public Health. She brings with her more than two decades of experience as an instructor at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and a commitment to supporting the undergraduate experience and the needs of the general education program. We are excited to welcome Dr. Rothman to the Hub team and look forward to working with her to co-create and implement a vision for the future of the BU Hub.
