Member Meetings

Since its inception in 1981, HRPI has made significant strides in developing its membership meetings. These meetings bring together practitioners and researchers for two days each spring and fall to discuss leading-edge human resource matters and to network with fellow HR executives and scholars. Meetings are organized around an overarching topic in HR and feature leading experts from academia, consulting, and the corporate sectors relevant to this topic.

Recent meeting topics include:

  • Key Strategic Issues in Talent Management
  • Strategic HR and HR Analytics
  • HR, Sustainability, and the Future
  • HR Required Competencies and Career Development Imperatives—An Exploratory Conversation
  • The Impact of New Technologies on Work and the Delivery of HR Solutions

Research That Matters

HRPI sponsors research on topics of interest to our member companies. Under the guidance of a member-led steering committee, HRPI has funded over 70 research projects by faculty and doctoral students and has developed numerous case studies on critical HR and organizational issues. In addition, the semi-annual HRPI newsletter provides updates on member company HR programs and communicates news, surveys, and initiatives in the HR field.
