{"id":578,"date":"2014-10-06T15:46:35","date_gmt":"2014-10-06T19:46:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hr\/?page_id=578"},"modified":"2017-12-07T14:56:34","modified_gmt":"2017-12-07T19:56:34","slug":"time-services","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hr\/learningbu\/systems-training\/time-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Time Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Time services involves timekeeping functions for non-exempt employees (weekly paid) and exempt employees in some cases (FMLA, unpaid absences, etc.), and managing the balances of time off for all BU employees, except faculty.<\/p>\n<p>Non-exempt employees <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/files\/2017\/12\/ESS_Enter-Working-Time-Quick-Reference.pdf\">enter their hours<\/a> worked and release for approval on a weekly basis through Employee Self Service (ESS). Exempt (monthly paid) staff are not required to submit time sheets, but they must request time off using the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/buworks\/timeservices\">Time Off Request<\/a> (TOR) facility available through ESS.
