The deadlines ensure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New employees are set up appropriately for their first day<\/li>\n<li>Existing employees are set up appropriately in time for their first day in a new position<\/li>\n<li>Employees are paid on-time<\/li>\n<li>Overpayments are prevented<\/li>\n<li>All approvers have time to review and approve forms<\/li>\n<li>Central departments have time to resolve form crashes and complete required corrections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reminder: Forms can, and should, be submitted prior to their effective date whenever possible.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Form Types<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\n<strong>Organizational Management (OM) Forms:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create Position\n<ul>\n<li>New permanent positions need to be evaluated by Compensation before submitting to SAP. Please take into consideration that an evaluation could take up to 2 weeks to complete.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Maintain Position<\/li>\n<li>Delimit Position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personnel Action (PA) Forms:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New Hire and Rehire<\/li>\n<li>Additional\/Recurring Payments<\/li>\n<li>Position Change<\/li>\n<li>Transfer<\/li>\n<li>Employee Position Update (EPU)<\/li>\n<li>Salary Change<\/li>\n<li>Salary Cost Distribution<\/li>\n<li>Secondary Work Payment<\/li>\n<li>Leave of Absence<\/li>\n<li>Termination<\/li>\n<li>Retirement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hr\/hr-systems\/process-and-help-guides\/\">OM and PA Form Instructions<\/a><br \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Forms for hourly paid employees<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OM forms must be submitted by the <strong>Tuesday<\/strong> before the weekly payroll processing day.\n<ul>\n<li>New permanent positions need to be evaluated by Compensation before submitting to SAP. Please take into consideration an evaluation can take up to 10 business days to complete.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>PA forms must be submitted by the <strong>Friday<\/strong> before the weekly payroll processing day. This allows time for all approvals by central departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Payroll processing days are listed on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/payroll\/payroll-for-payroll-coordinators\/calendar-dates-and-deadlines\/\">monthly payroll calendars<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Forms for monthly salaried employees<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>PA form deadlines can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/payroll\/payroll-for-payroll-coordinators\/calendar-dates-and-deadlines\/\">Payroll Calendars webpage<\/a>. As a reminder, if an OM form is required, it must complete workflow <em>before<\/em> initiation of any related PA form.
