Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefits

BU recognizes that faculty and staff may need time away from work for personal medical and family concerns.

To provide peace of mind as employees juggle home and work demands, BU is proud to announce new paid family and medical leave benefits effective January 1, 2021.

These benefits provide paid leave for two purposes:

• Personal medical leave applies if your employee’s own illness or injury prevents them from working for a week or more, whether continuous or intermittent
• Family leave applies if your employee needs time to attend to family health concerns, the arrival of a child, or certain matters related to military service
