Eligibility<\/h2>\n

The Medical Student Residence is only guaranteed for first-year MD students. Upper-class MD students currently living in MSR who are interested in returning for the 2026-2027 term session will be able to declare their intent on the Graduate Housing Portal<\/a>. Students will be selected to return in a randomly generated lottery process.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Upper-class MD students not currently living in MSR will be contacted by the Student Affairs Office (SAO) at the BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine with options for declaring intent.<\/em><\/p>\n

Application Process<\/h2>\n

The application consists of two parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

1. Declare your Intent to Return to MSR<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n

2. Select your Same Unit<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

If selected in the lottery, you will need to:<\/p>\n
    \n
  1. Submit a nonrefundable $500\u00a0Housing Guarantee Payment\u00a0<\/a>using a credit card or a US bank account.<\/li>\n
  2. Complete all sections of the application in the portal.<\/li>\n
  3. Select your same unit.<\/li>\n
  4. Electronically sign the\u00a0Graduate Residence License Agreement.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Once you have successfully completed the application, you will see your assignment details on the “Application Status” page in the MSR Application.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
