Fenway Campus Housing and Dining Reopening Spring 2022
BU Housing and Residence Life are pleased to announce the reopening of all Fenway Campus residences beginning January 14, 2022. The four residences – Pilgrim House, Longwood House, Riverway House, and Campus Center & Student Residence (“CCSR”) – will accommodate 376 undergraduates for the spring 2022 semester. An Area Director and team of resident assistants (RAs) from Residence Life will staff the campus on a full-time basis. Each residence features traditional single, double, and triple dorm/suite-style rooms, and a study lounge, laundry facilities, and vending. Your Terrier ID card will allow you to pay for laundry and use of vending machines.
The rooms and lounges are fully furnished and come with free IPTV service and Wi-Fi. BU Housing will notify undergraduate students assigned to Fenway Campus housing on or before January 7, 2022. And of course, our custodial team is dedicated to keeping common areas and communal bathrooms clean, while our maintenance teams are available 24/7 to help with any service or repairs. In addition, our trained housing staff is always ready to help with any questions or concerns, no matter how small. So please get in touch with us at BU Housing.
The Fenway Campus Dining Hall will reopen on January 14, 2022, too, and feature a wide variety of freshly prepared foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks. The 250-seat dining hall, located on the 2nd floor of CCSR, offers a number of options, including a sauté/action station, chef’s table, grill, a beehive pizza oven/pasta station, a deli, and an expansive salad bar. Our chefs and managers are always available to answer any questions you have about recipes and ingredients. And our entire team is there to help make a meal right for you. Want just the veggies? We can do that. Have an allergy; we are here to help.
For nutritional services, BU Dining Services at Fenway collaborates with the BU Sargent Choice Nutrition Center to provide students with various special meal options. To augment the dining options, a café featuring Starbucks brewed coffee and tea, along with grab-n-go snacks and beverages, will be open on the ground floor of CCSR. And students are also welcome to dine in any of the Charles River Campus dining halls and retail locations.
For us, safety starts at the front entrance, with swipe-card access to your residence. In addition, our RAs and Residence Life staff ensure each student understands that security at BU is a genuine community effort. The Boston University Police Department (BUPD) also patrols and responds to emergencies on campus and the surrounding streets 24 hours a day. You will also find blue light phones on the Fenway Campus.

PERD will also offer scheduled fitness and wellness programs throughout the spring 2022 semester.

College of General Studies Living & Learning @ Fenway
The College of General Studies Living & Learning @ Fenway program gives College of General Studies (CGS) students the opportunity to interact and connect with a variety of students, staff, and faculty from CGS to develop a close-knit social network. Advisors and faculty will hold office hours at the Fenway, and there will be a variety of other activities as described below.
Your Academic and Student Life
Your life on the Fenway Campus begins with your move-in and BU orientation.
Faculty presentations of on-going research will provide opportunities for students to investigate the liberal arts and contemporary topics beyond the classroom. Receptions, study groups, workshops, and panel presentations will create a strong sense of community and connection with fellow residents. Some course field trips will also originate at the Fenway.
The Dean of Students has staff within the student residences and within offices on the Fenway Campus, and they will help you meet your RAs and other Fenway residents. CGS clubs will meet at Fenway several times in the semester. We’re working with CGS and BU Student Government to have a steady stream of winter welcome programs and activities – exclusively for CGS students and Fenway residents – for you to get to know each other and your new neighborhood. (Word on the street says be prepared for movies, visits to Time-Out Market, comedy shows, an art project, dancing, DJs, and lots of hot chocolate and S’mores.)
