Andrea Foster<\/span>, Senior Vice President,\u00a0<\/span>Development for Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is responsible\u00a0<\/span>for marketing the company\u2019s hotel management expertise and identifying and securing acquisition, joint venture, and third-party manageme<\/span>nt opportunities<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Foster\u2019s career began in hotel operations and management positions for branded and independent\u00a0<\/span>full-service\u00a0<\/span>properties on the east and west coasts. She then joined PKF Consulting (now CBRE Hotels) in 2002 in Los Angeles where she was a Vice President responsible for hospitality real estate valuations and feasibility analyses. From 2006 to 2011, she was VP Marketing & Business Development for\u00a0<\/span>Miraval<\/span>\u00a0Resorts<\/span>. She returned to\u00a0<\/span>PKF Consulting\/<\/span>CBRE Hotels from 2011 to 2015 as Managing Director of the New England Consulting & Valuation Practice, based in Boston<\/span>, before joining Marcus<\/span>\u00a0in late 2015<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Foster is a key voice at hotel investment conferences and<\/span>\u00a0regular speaker at Cornell,\u00a0<\/span>Boston University<\/span>, and Purdue\u2019s hospitality schools<\/span>. She is a member of the Lodging Industry Investment Council, president emeritus of the Cornell Hotel Society New England Chapter<\/span>\u00a0and current Cornell Hotel Society global board committee\u00a0<\/span>chair<\/span>, co-found<\/span>er of Boston Lodging Pulse<\/span>\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0of Boston University\u2019s Leadership Summit,\u00a0<\/span>2020-21 Chair of AHLA\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>ForWard<\/span>: Women Advancing Hospitality<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>and an\u00a0<\/span>Advisory Committee member for Castell Project\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Castell@College<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She was\u00a0<\/span>named one of\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>30 Influential Women in Hospitality<\/span>\u201d in 2017 by Hotel Management Magazine, and as one of hospitality\u2019s most successful women in Lodging Magazine in 2016. She is also<\/span>\u00a0a\u00a0<\/span>member of TEMPO Milwaukee, is\u00a0<\/span>on the Campaign Cabinet of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, and was<\/span>\u00a0the 2018 Chair of The Marcus Corporation\u2019s United Way campaign.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Foster<\/span>\u00a0is an engaged mentor of and advocate for hospitality leadership peers, rising leaders, and students of our industry. She\u00a0<\/span>is a graduate of Cornell University\u2019s School of Hotel Administration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
