Carter, Chairman of the Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/-gMubtnSf4c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2021 Dean&#8217;s Distinguished Lecture Speaker<\/a><\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In 2020, Ian Carter was named Chairman of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewosgroupplc.com\/\">Watches of Switzerland Group PLC<\/a>: the world\u2019s leading retailer of luxury watch brands. In 2024, Mr. Carter was named Chairman of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eataly.com\/us_en\">Eataly<\/a>, the largest Italian marketplace in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Until December 2020, Ian was President of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hilton.com\/en\/brands\/hilton-hotels\/?WT.mc_id=zlada0ww1hi2psh3ggl4advcrb5dkt6multibr7_153670571_1003528&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQjw7uSkBhDGARIsAMCZNJtMVq4FNGXWxRv6Tlflr3gwOegEG8SYHjN-T48rD-ioix8hSmjQ6h0aAuzUEALw_wcB&amp;gclsrc=aw.ds\">Hilton<\/a>\u2019s Global Development, Architecture, Design &amp; Construction functions. Prior to this he also led Global Operations. He was responsible for the company\u2019s growth and expansion into new markets around the world. Ian was Chief Executive Officer of Hilton International prior to its re-acquisition by the company in 2006.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:360,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining the company, Mr. Carter served as Officer and President of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackanddecker.com\/\">Black &amp; Decker Corporation<\/a>, Middle East, Africa and Asia. In this role, he was responsible for all operations outside of the Americas.
