His work on tipping has been covered by<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"fs-19\" data-font-size=\"19\">the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the International Herald Tribune, the Economist,<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"fs-19\" data-font-size=\"19\">and<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"fs-19\" data-font-size=\"19\">Forbes<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"fs-19\" data-font-size=\"19\">as well as by ABC\u2019s 20\/20, BET\u2019s Nightly News, and NPR.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wse-txt-bm\"><span class=\"wse-txt-inner lh-12\" data-line-height=\"1.2\"><span class=\"wse-txt-size\"><span class=\"fs-19\" data-font-size=\"19\">A former bartender, busboy, and waiter, Mike received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the Ohio State University in 1987 and has taught in the marketing departments of business and hospitality schools since 1988.
