He has been with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jardines.com\/en\">Jardine Matheson Group<\/a>, of which Mandarin Oriental is a part, since 1993.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During his career with Jardine Matheson, James served as Finance Director of Jardine Cycle &amp; Carriage and Jardine Pacific and as Managing Director of Jardine Pacific before being appointed Jardine Matheson&#8217;s Group Finance Director in 2005. Prior to joining Jardine Matheson, James qualified as a Chartered Accountant with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwc.com\/us\/en.html\">Price Waterhouse<\/a> in London and then spent seven years as an investment banker with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kleinworthambros.com\/en\/#:~:text=We%20aim%20to%20be%20the,the%20community%20and%20the%20climate.\">Kleinwort<\/a> Benson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0From 2012 to 2016, James was a non-executive Director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsbc.com.hk\/\">Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation<\/a> and Chairman of its Audit Committee.
