Jolly, has published a new study in <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/home\/GOM\"><em data-start=\"272\" data-end=\"305\">Group &amp; Organization Management<\/em> <\/a>exploring an often-overlooked issue in leadership\u2014loneliness.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"369\" data-end=\"821\">Titled <em data-start=\"376\" data-end=\"476\">\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1177\/10596011261435072\">The Lonely Leader: How Organizational Power Distance and Need to Belong Shape Leader Loneliness<\/a>,\u201d<\/em> the research reveals that leaders can experience significant loneliness due to organizational structures. <span class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"><\/span>The study finds that higher organizational power distance reduces social closeness between leaders and their teams, which in turn increases feelings of isolation.
