Students will utilize the city of Paris and the country of France as their living lab during this six-week program while being immersed\u00a0in the best of\u00a0food &amp; beverage and marketing practices.\u00a0Students will enroll in two required hospitality courses for 8 academic credits. Courses will be taught in English at the BU Paris Academic Center and will include expert guest lectures and program related excursions, in and around Paris. For more information on the program and to apply, visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/abroad\/programs\/france-paris-study-abroad-summer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BU Paris Study Abroad website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program Dates<\/strong>: May 20\u00a0\u2013 June 29, 2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curriculum:\u00a0<\/strong><em>3 curriculum\u00a0requirements in one experience, and 1 Hub credit!<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HF 220:<\/strong> Food &amp; Beverage Management<\/li>\n<li><strong>HF 260:\u00a0<\/strong>Hospitality Marketing Principles*<\/li>\n<li><strong>HF 440:<\/strong> International Experience<em><\/em><em><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>*Fulfills\u00a01 BU Hub credits for\u00a0&#8220;Global Citizenship and Intercultural Literacy&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Potential Program Excursions Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Guided tour of the Champagne-making process in Reims.<\/li>\n<li>Night tour of the Rungis market, the largest food market in the world,\u00a0which serves the Paris metropolitan area.<\/li>\n<li>Potel &amp; Chabot: Learn how a\u00a0high-end event catering company owned by\u00a0Accor Hotels organizes world-class events.<\/li>\n<li>Day trip to Lyon, the world capital of gastronomy. Eat lunch at one of Lyon&#8217;s famed restaurants.<\/li>\n<li>Visit luxurious hotels whose patrons include famed\u00a0kings, emperors, and\u00a0celebrities.<\/li>\n<li>Learn how to make pastry, and eat it too!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Housing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students share furnished bedrooms in apartment-style residences at the Cit\u00e9 Universitaire Complex<\/li>\n<li>The complex includes fully equipped kitchens, furnished common areas, dining hall, post office, bank, theater, park, and Wi-Fi access<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tuition:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$9,175 &#8211; Cost includes tuition, housing, program related activities, and in-country program related travel.
