Wolfram Schaefer
Former President & CEO, Avendra
As the President and Chief Executive Officer of Avendra, Wolfram Schaefer is responsible for the company’s overall operations, strategic direction and business planning.
Wolfram joined Avendra in 2010 as Chief Operating Officer. As Avendra’s COO, he was directly responsible for the performance of key parts of the organization, including Strategic Sourcing, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care. Wolfram has spearheaded major strategy initiatives across the organization including the transformation of Customer Care, and the entry into new market segments.
Previously, Wolfram was based in Switzerland and served as COO Europe for NCH Corporation. Before that he served as president of LSG Sky Chefs Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. He began his career with McKinsey & Company, working out of offices in Frankfurt and Chicago.
Wolfram graduated with distinction from Northwestern University with a Master of Management degree. He also obtained a master’s equivalent degree in computer science and business administration from the Technical University Darmstadt in Germany.
