2018 YOUNG ALUM OF THE YEAR RECIPIENT

Phoenix Porcelli brings over a decade of meeting and event expertise in Boston, Paris and NYC to the Convene team. Convene is the fastest-growing network of full-service, tech-enabled meeting, event, and flexible workspaces. As a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Phoenix works collaboratively with other CMPs and Event Professionals to solve problems and achieve operational objectives through venue selection and strategic planning efforts. Her role provides a unique perspective on industry trends. Prior to joining Convene, Phoenix worked at the Waldorf Astoria.

As a student at Boston University, Phoenix was heavily involved on campus. She volunteered at the Community Service Center with Student Food Rescue and Alternative Spring Break. She also served as a Student Advisor and Dean’s Host for the University. Additionally during her undergraduate years, Phoenix became Vice President of the BU chapter of the national sorority, Alpha Delta Pi.

Presently, Phoenix supports the School of Hospitality New York City alumni efforts. She recently arranged a BU Global Day of Service in New York City at Emma’s Torch–a restaurant that trains and facilitates job placement for refugees. Phoenix also volunteers and fosters rescue dogs through both Muddy Paws Rescue and In Our Hands Animal Rescue. In her free time, Phoenix enjoys playing with her recently adopted rescue puppy named Potato, traveling, running, reading, and being a foodie.
