Kenosian Chair in Modern Armenian History and Literature at Boston University.<\/p>\n<p>His publications include<em> The Political Economy of Human Rights in Armenia: Authoritarianism and Democracy in a Former Soviet Republic<\/em>\u00a0(2011);\u00a0<em>The History of Armenia: From the Origins to the Present<\/em>\u00a0(2007);\u00a0<em>United States Policy toward the Armenian Question and the Armenian Genocide<\/em>\u00a0(2005);\u00a0<em>The Armenian Genocide, 1915-1923: A Handbook for Students and Teachers<\/em>\u00a0(2001);\u00a0<em>International Political Economy: Conflict and Cooperation in the Global System<\/em>\u00a0(co-authored with Frederic S. Pearson) (1999; Chinese translation, Peking University Press, 2006); and\u00a0<em>U.S. Foreign Economic and Military Aid: The Reagan and Bush Administrations<\/em>\u00a0(1996). He has co-edited (with Richard G. Hovannisian) two volumes,\u00a0<em>Armenian Constantinople<\/em>\u00a0(2010) and\u00a0<em>Armenian Cilicia<\/em>\u00a0(2008).<\/p>\n<p>Professor Payaslian is the author of several book chapters, including \u201cImagining Armenia,\u201d in\u00a0<em>The Call of the Homeland: Diaspora Nationalisms, Past and Present<\/em>, edited by Allon Gal, Athena S. Leoussi, and Anthony D. Smith (2010).
