Richard Brower is a professor of\u00a0Physics\u00a0and\u00a0Electrical & Computer Engineering in Boston University. \u00a0He obtained a PhD in Physics at the University of California, Berkeley in 1969. He has worked in several fields of theoretical and\u00a0computational physics\u201a string theory, hadron phenomenology, Quantum\u00a0Chromodynamics, lattice formulations of quantum field theory and\u00a0statistical mechanics and molecular dynamics.<\/p>\n
Professor Brower has experience with parallel algorithms starting with data parallel methods on the Connection Machine up to the BlueGene\/P and currently heterogeneous architectures: GPU clusters, BlueWaters and the BG\/Q. His research on algorithms design includes multi-grid Dirac solvers, cluster algorithms for bosonic and fermionic systems.
