Barba"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Adjunct Research Professor, Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/me\/people\/faculty\/ae\/barba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lorena A. Barba<\/a>\u00a0was a Faculty Fellow at the Hariri Institute from September 2011 to August 2013, while an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Boston University. She received her PhD in Aeronautics from the California Institute of Technology in 2004, and her undergraduate degrees (BSc and PEng) in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad T\u00e9cnica Federico Santa Mar\u00eda in Valpara\u00edso, Chile. She was also a visiting research professor at the Scientific and Technological Center of Valpara\u00edso (Centro Cient\u00edfico-Tecnol\u00f3gico de Valpara\u00edso, CCTVal) in Chile.
