The laboratory uses tools ranging from two-photon imaging and optogenetics to classical electrophysiology and functional magnetic resonance imaging in mouse models and in individuals with injury-induced visual system deficits.<\/span><\/p>\n
He obtained a BA in Physics and the MD\/PhD in Medicine and Physics at Harvard University. After training in Neurology at the Partners Neurology Program, he specialized in Vascular Neurology and Critical Care. He served as a Research Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics (Dept. Logothetis) in Tuebingen, Germany, working on a primate fMRI model of visual cortex plasticity after injury, then as Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard University, before moving to Baylor College of Medicine in March 2008 as an Assistant Professor of Neurology & Neuroscience.
