He studies the responsible application, development, and impact of artificial intelligence in digital consumer and e-commerce analytics with a focus on the economic impact of textual data, along with content extraction, understanding, and engineering. He leads the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dkbitlab.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Business Insights through Text Lab<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Lee is a recipient of Information Systems Society&#8217;s Gordon B. Davis Young Scholar Award and the Marketing Science Institute&#8217;s (MSI) Young Scholar Award. His research has won multiple best paper awards, publishing in journals and conferences such as Management Science, Information Systems Research, MISQ, Journal of Marketing Research, AAAI, AIES, and WWW. His work is supported by organizations such as Adobe, Bosch Institute, Google Cloud, MSI, McKinsey &amp; Company, Nvidia, and Net Institute.<\/p>\n<p>DK holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science from Columbia University (Machine Learning Focus), a Master\u2019s degree in Statistics (Master\u2019s Thesis: Johnson-Lindenstrauss Lemma and its Effect on Supervised Learning) from Yale University, and a Ph.D. from the Operation, Information, and Decisions department of the Wharton School (Thesis: Three Essays in Big Data Consumer Analytics in E-Commerce).<\/p>\n<p>Before academia, DK worked at four tech start-ups and Blackrock as a quantitative software engineer and at Thomson Reuters as an ML contractor building a natural language processing engine for financial data.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedokyun.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22677,"template":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/28007"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/profile"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/22677"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/28007\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":39277,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/28007\/revisions\/39277"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=28007"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
