Yuhei Miyauchi is an Assistant Professor of\u00a0Economics at the\u00a0Questrom School of Business and a Junior Faculty Fellow of the Hariri\u00a0Institute at Boston University.\u00a0<\/span>Miyauchi received his bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Tokyo, Japan, received his PhD in Economics from MIT, and served as a post-doc at Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University. <\/span><\/p>\n

Miyauchi’s\u00a0primary research theme is to understand how production and demand linkages shape socio-economic activity within cities and across regions and countries. He tackles these questions using a combination of theory and new sources of granular data, such as cell phone, smartphone data and firm-level transaction data.<\/span><\/p>\n
