{"id":22780,"date":"2021-03-05T12:10:11","date_gmt":"2021-03-05T16:10:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=22780"},"modified":"2025-07-01T10:11:31","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T14:11:31","slug":"yves-atchade","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/profile\/yves-atchade\/","title":{"rendered":"Yves Atchad\u00e9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Yves Atchad\u00e9 is a Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics <\/span>and a Founding Member of the Faculty of Computing &amp; Data Sciences at Boston University.<\/p>\n<p><span>His current research interests deal mainly with Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods, the statistical properties of Bayesian procedures, and the development of statistical methods for improved environmental prediction. He received a PhD from the Universite de Montreal in 2003, working with Prof. Francois Perron. He was a visting student at the University of Toronto working with Prof Jeff Rosenthal, and a postdoc fellow at Harvard University in 2003-2004 working with Prof. Jun Liu.
