Ben designs, develops, and deploys software systems and platforms that deliver cybersecurity and secure multi-party computation capabilities in real-world scenarios. In addition to contributing to the NSF-funded CICI \u201cTrustworthy Computing over Protected Datasets\u201d effort, Ben also builds open source libraries, applications, systems, and databases in domains such as data science, digital humanities, cybersecurity, and others.<\/p>\n<p>In Summer 2016, Ben joined the SAIL team as a Software Engineer Intern in the lab\u2019s inaugural internship program. He has worked with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/profile\/cathie-martin\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cathie Jo Martin<\/a> (Political Science, CAS) on her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/2016\/06\/01\/imagine-all-the-people-the-origins-of-education-reform-and-the-life-trajectories-of-low-skill-youth\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hariri Research Award<\/a>, researching and applying natural language processing techniques to a data set of British and Danish novels to explore how views of education influence historical trends.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6673,"template":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/13306"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/profile"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/6673"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/13306\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":17044,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/13306\/revisions\/17044"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=13306"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
