Wenkang An was chosen as\u00a0a Hariri Graduate Fellow in June, 2017. He is a PhD candidate in the Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory\u00a0supervised by Hariri Institute Steering Committee member<\/span> Barbara Shinn-Cunningham<\/a>, within the Department of Biomedical Engineering.\u00a0He received his bachelor and master degrees in Electrical\/Biomedical Engineering from Hong Kong. His research explores how cortical activities or neural networks in human brain are modulated to selectively amplify one particular sound stream while suppressing the others (selective attention).
