Land BU on the <em>US News<\/em> Most Innovative Universities List"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>In an acknowledgement of Boston University&#8217;s continued rise as a top institution for innovation, it has been placed for the first time on the 2019 edition of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-colleges\/rankings\/national-universities\/innovative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>US News &amp; World Report<\/em><\/a><em>&#8216;s\u00a0<\/em><span>Most Innovative Colleges list. <\/span>The recognition comes after\u00a0<em>US News<\/em>\u00a0conducted a survey in which college presidents, provosts, and admissions deans were asked to nominate institutions that make highly\u00a0innovative improvements through curriculum, faculty and students, and technology.<\/p>\n<p><span>Vice President and Associate Provost for Research\u00a0Gloria S. Waters said she is <\/span><span>excited to see the University&#8217;s innovation profile become more visible, explaining that <\/span><span>\u201cover the past year we have pioneered several new models of support and collaboration for research.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>These models include the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/rhcollab\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Red Hat Collaboratory<\/a>, a partnership that brings together researchers and scientists from Red Hat and BU and provides a range of opportunities for students, staff, and faculty: project incubation, fellowship opportunities, and support for visiting scientists.
