Our mission is to catalyze cross-disciplinary collaborations among researchers, enabling them to address important problems, make ground-breaking advances, build self-sustained research programs, and have lasting societal impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our multidisciplinary community\u2014consisting of 10 centers and initiatives along with a wide network of faculty affiliates, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers across Boston University\u2014drives transformative research that addresses societal challenges and translates discovery into real-world impact.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our programs provide Boston University students and faculty with the tools and support they need to build a solid foundation for grant applications and more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Donations allow us to enable interdisciplinary teams to fuse their diverse expertise and open up new avenues for research through our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/programs\/focused-research-programs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Focused Research Programs<\/a>. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><\/span>They also support exceptional early-career faculty through our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/programs\/junior-faculty-fellows-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Junior Faculty Fellows (JFF) program<\/a>,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span>and doctoral students through our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/programs\/graduate-student-fellows-program-gsf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Graduate Student Fellows (GSF) program<\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span>and the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/programs\/data-science-mentoring-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Data Science Mentoring Circles<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span>program<\/a>. We also organize hundreds of events annually that bring our students and faculty affiliates together.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/give.bu.edu\/campaigns\/50118\/donations\/new?a=10693057\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Your gift\u00a0<\/a>will enable us to continue working with one another to continue solving society\u2019s most complex problems in healthcare, climate, cyber security, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, cloud computing, and more. We also use funds to support student travel, conferences, and interdisciplinary research beyond typical computing avenues, including integration with humanities data science and student clubs.
