Computing and data have emerged as a currency of scientific endeavors opening the door for paradigm shifts in almost every scientific, engineering, and professional discipline.\u00a0With this future in mind, and sitting in the crossroads of the BU community, the\u00a0Rafik B. Hariri Institute for Computing and Computational Science & Engineering was established. The Institute initiates, catalyzes, and propels collaborative, interdisciplinary research and training initiatives for a better society by promoting discovery and innovations through the use of computational and data-driven approaches, and, advances in the science of computing inspired by challenges in arts and sciences, engineering, and management disciplines.
