Hugh Brock is the Co-Director of Red Hat Collaboratory at Boston University. He relocated to Boston in 2018 to found Red Hat Research after a three-year stint in Brno, Czechia, where he led a large team of developers working on Red Hat’s OpenStack management tool, OSP-director. A Red Hat manager since 2008 and a Red Hatter since 2002, Hugh brings intimate knowledge of the complex relationship between upstream projects and shippable products to the task of finding and cultivating research that Red Hat will be able to bring into the open-source world.
