Institute Directors and DHI Affiliate to Speak at the Institute for Health System Innovation and Policy Nexus Series Event on October 17, 2018

The Institute for Health System Innovation and Policy, which partners with the Hariri Institute for Computing to form the Digital Health Initiative (DHI), will host the next event in their Nexus Series on October 17, 2018, titled: A Tale of Two (or More) Datasets: Multiparty Computing for Health Care Research and Beyond.

The seminar will feature Dr. Andrei Lapets, Associate Professor of the Practice in Computer Science, Director of Research Development at the Hariri Institute for Computing, and Director of the Software & Application Innovation Lab at Boston University, and Dr. Mayank Varia, Research Associate Professor of Computer Science at Boston University and the co-Director of BU’s Center for Reliable Information Systems & Cyber Security (RISCS). Also speaking are Dr. Gerald Denis, basic scientist in the Boston University-Boston Medical Center Cancer Center and DHI affiliate, and Dr. Anand K. Devaiah, MD, FACS, Director of the Biomedical & Health Technology Development & Transfer Domain at the Institute for Health System Innovation & Policy.

Participants will explore novel problems related to health care research, discuss methods of multiparty computing and applications in health care research, and synthesize additional use cases for multiparty computing applications.
