\"portraits_Page_03\"<\/a>Ms. Sevgim \u00c7isel \u00c7elik Keskin currently serves as senior auditor for<\/span> Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (Vakifbank)<\/span><\/a>, the seventh-largest bank in Turkey with over 900 branches throughout the country, three international branches located in New York, Bahrain, and Arbil, and subsidiary operations with VakifBank International AG, which has branches in Vienna, Cologne and Frankfurt. Ms. \u00c7elik Keskin inspects, tracks, and reports on how well the Bank\u2019s operations comply with its principles, laws, and regulations. She annually audits the Bank\u2019s head office, its branches nationwide, and its many subsidiaries. As one of the fifteen senior auditors on a board of nearly 200 auditors, she further serves as a mentor and supervisor to her colleagues.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. \u00c7elik Keskin <\/span>holds a B.S. in Political Science and Public Administration from<\/span> Middle East Technical University<\/span><\/a> in Ankara\u00a0and\u00a0a bachelor of science degree in business administration from<\/span> Anadolu University<\/span><\/a> in <\/span>Eski\u015fe<\/span>hir, the largest university in Europe. In 2016, she completed an Associate\u2019s Degree in Jurisprudence and Law from Anadolu University.<\/span><\/p>\n

During her Humphrey Fellowship year, Ms. \u00c7elik Keskin i<\/span>ntends to undertake advanced studies of proactive auditing systems and regulations. She also plans to study accountability, development, and sustainability of the banking sector in the U.S., with a particular focus on how banks are working to achieve the <\/span>Women\u2019s Empowerment Principles<\/span> d<\/span>esignated by the United Nations in 2010. Upon her return to Turkey, Ms. \u00c7elik Keskin plans to support women\u2019s economic and professional empowerment, with a particular focus on increasing the number of women in managerial and executive positions in the banking sector.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
