His current responsibilities include overseeing Back Office Banking\u00a0accountability with respect to\u00a0check clearing, data processing, compliance, and the handling of statements &amp; records. As the Bank\u2019s Regional Office Principal Risk Liaison Officer, Mr. Kapili coordinates risk management functions and documents the proceedings of all Business Continuity Management (BCM)\u00a0activities.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Kapili previously worked in tax administration at the <a href=\"www.zra.org.zm\">Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA)<\/a>, where he supported the development and implementation of ZRA\u2019s strategic objectives.<\/p>\n<p>In 1999,\u00a0Mr. Kapili earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration from <a href=\"www.cbu.ac.zm\">Copperbelt University<\/a> in Kitwe, Zambia. In 2009,\u00a0he obtained an MBA in Finance, with honors, from the <a href=\"www.le.ac.uk\">University of Leicester<\/a> in the United Kingdom. Mr. Kapili has further completed a number of post-graduate professional certificate programs in banking and financial markets. Prior to his post-graduate studies, he participated in the British Council\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/questionsofdifference.com\/portfolio\/the-british-council-interaction-leadership-programme\/\">Inter-Action Leadership Programme<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During his Fellowship year, Mr. Kapili plans to acquire advanced knowledge of various roles and potential tools within the policy making arena of the banking and financial sector. Upon his return to Zambia, he intends to tackle issues related to income inequality and financial exclusion based on age and gender.
